Lending Policies

  • Fourteen days: books and DVD series
  • Seven days: Magazines, DVD movies
  • Only five items may be checked out at one time.
  • Renewals are permitted unless the item is being reserved for another patron. Items may be renewed three consecutive times unless they are overdue.
  • Items borrowed from other libraries will be loaned based on the originating library’s policies, which may differ from the Clifton Public Library’s policies in both checkout period, fine amount, number of items permitted, etc.

Book Drop

  • A book drop is available on the front of the library for materials (including DVDs) to be dropped twenty-four hours a day.

Fines

  • Books and magazines are .05 for each day after the due date.
  • DVDs are .25 for each day after the due date.

Book Replacement

  • Lost or damaged items are billed at a replacement cost plus $5.00 processing for each item. Damaged items will be billed at the cost of the repair. Any items that have been borrowed from other libraries will be charged at the rate determined by the lending library.
